Project: Weatherize homes and install new windows for Boston's most vulnerable home owners

For most people, the cold weather is an inconvenience, but for far too many — especially seniors — winter means the burden of high-energy costs and sacrificing food or medicine in order to keep the heat on. That's why YouthBuild Boston teamed up with volunteers from Bank of America, Rebuilding Together Boston, the City of Boston, and CB Richard Ellis New England for Neighborhood Housewarming 2006 (known as "Weatherization Day" in previous years). Together, they all helped weatherize more than 700 windows in 51 Boston homes and replaced 13 windows for one Boston resident — all at no cost to the recipients.
