65 Boston Families Benefit From YouthBuild Boston's Weatherization Servathon
Michael Stokes, a YouthBuild Boston trainee and AmeriCorps member from Dorchester, works alongside Brian Moynihan, Executive Vice President of FleetBoston Financial and YouthBuild Boston board member, to install a window kit in the Dorchester home of Ms. Jacqueline Allen, as part of YouthBuild Boston's annual Weatherization Servathon. More than 125 corporate and community volunteers were dispersed to weatherize 65 homes across Boston, helping elderly and low-income residents keep warm and safe in their homes this winter. Fleet and the City of Boston's Department of Neighborhood Development sponsored the event.
Volunteers from FleetBoston Financial, the City of Boston's Department of Neighborhood Development, IDX Corporation and YouthBuild USA teamed-up to install window kits in the homes of Boston's elderly and low-income residents, as part of YouthBuild Boston's annual Weatherization Servathon.
